Brief History of Innkeepers

1780: Original Tavern built, owned and operated by Francis Haere
1801: Tavern was razed and built in new location
1819: Levi Haere sells Tavern to William and Jerome Hollenbeck
1835: Sold to a syndicate of leading villagers and then to Sanford Karner
1857: Mr. Karner sold to Chester Goodale
1858: Sold to Sam Goodale
1866: John Miller assumes new ownership
1871: Walter B. Peck becomes new owner
1905: Ella F. Peck sells to Fred J. Fuller & George L. Taylor
1920: George L. Taylor sells to John C. O'Neil
1931: Anna E. O'Neil sells to Hugh Smiley
1934: Olde Egremont Corporation takes over mortgage
1940: Acquired by Harley C. Darlington
1947: Harley C. Darlington sells to Rudolf Schrader
1952: Schraders sell the Inn to Katheryn & Virgil Crockett
1965: The Crocketts sell to Charles Early
1966: Mrs. Durphy Brown takes over the Inn
1973: Mrs. Durphy sells to the Rudnicks
1976: Bernie and Suzanne Eisemann take over ownership
1977: Rudyard and Robin Probst become new owners
1981: Jim Scala becomes new owner
1987: Helen and Harold Black buy the Inn
1994: Karen and Steve Waller take over ownership
