"Tucked into a corner of this tiny
blink-and-you'll-drive-right-through-it town is a Southern Berkshires
treasure with two young chefs whose sophisticated NYC training is shown
to advantage here in American dishes...." Zagat's Review
As the chefs like to say,
“It’s all about the food.”
The Inn's restaurant is one of the most popular in South County. The Tavern, with its own
menu in addition to the Dinner Menu, is adjacent to the bar and has a
working fireplace. The Dining Room has a distinctly different
atmosphere and also has a fireplace. We also offer a small Young
Person's menu for our dinner guests under nine years old. A beverage
list is available, outlining draft beers, single malt scotches, small
batch and single barrel bourbons, ports, sherries, cognacs, brandies
and other apertifs, and we have a Spectator Award-winning Wine List.
For
the neighbors, local travelers and houseguests, the eclectic and
gregarious social spot is the popular bar. It draws together folks
waiting for a table, having dinner or simply enjoying a drink while
listening to live jazz.
The
restaurant is open five days a week, Wednesday through Sunday, all year
round, but closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Our kitchen
staff prepares almost everything on the premises. Our Front House Staff
is "....carefully trained, does everything right, from delivering
corn bread, focaccia , olive oil and butter to crumbing the
table...." (New York Times June, 2002).
Reservations are suggested
during busy seasons and on weekends all year round.
